MooMoo Mookata @ Cosford Road, Singapore.

Off the beaten track, a friend of mine suggested to check out a thai bbq steamboat joint at Cosford road. It's a bit ulu, but well worth it. I like the vibe of the place, rustic, quiet, and didn't feel like I was in Singapore. Best part, it opens till late on weekends, so if your craving for supper and in the mood of mookata, go for it.

Looks cosy ain't it.

Charcoal, nice.

There were five of us, maybe we did go overboard on ordering the items:)

The soup was lovely, not on the heavy side, tasty but yet light.

Meat and more meats.

The sauces they provided was very addictive. Good company, over good food plus beers, I have no complains.

Sinar Pagi Nasi Padang @ Geylang Serai Market & Food Centre, Singapore.

Happy days, my favourite joint in Geylang Serai had about 5 people queuing when I joined the line on this random weekday about 11ish am.

Being a nasi padang stall, you have loads of dishes to choose from. As I was still recovering from a hangover, lazy to think, I opted for a normal set of pre loaded stuff on rice. Chose a nasi rawon.

Beef lungs, sambal sotong/cuttlefish, begedil/potato cutlet, tempeh goreng and I think the crunchy stuff was kerisik. And not to forget the potent sambal belacan. This stall never disappoints me, everything was just superb. Do check out their other dishes, good stuff.

Burger Ramly Stall @ Ipoh Town, Perak, Malaysia.

I had a sudden craving for some burger ramly. Been here a couple of times, and till today I'm not sure of their opening hours. Try your luck I guess:/

This dude sure knows how to stock up on his stuff.

Ordered a double burger special of one each beef and chicken patties .I know the pic doesn't do it justice, but trust me the whole concoction works. Works damn fine I would say. Another one of my favourite comfort food, especially when hunger pangs after drinking and on the way back.

Kedai Makanan Loke Wooi Kee @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

I'm starting to appreciate hor hee (fishball noodle soup) and this round managed to try it at this coffee shop.

There's a few other noteworthy stalls inside this coffeeshop ie rojak, ipoh hor fun, ckt and peanut pancake. Sadly I did not try except the peanut pancake which was fluffy and nice.

Don't think so you can go wrong when you order a white kopi in Ipoh.

The bowl of Hor Hee, yummy! Generous portions of fishballs and fishcakes. The soup was robust and can't stop myself from slurping it all.

Seng Kee Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun @ Medan Selera Stadium Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Did a quick pit stop here for some late afternoon snack.

There's a lot of stall in this hawker centre, but i'm on my ccf cravings again.

Ccf with prawns rolled in between, with light soya sauce and nice fried shallots on top. Decently priced and best of all, it tasted damn good.

Zheng Yi Hainanese Beef Noodles @ Tai Thong Crescent, Singapore.

Beef noodles galore, came highly recommended and off I went for another obscure food joint.

Simple stall in a coffee shop.

Dry beef noodles with koew teow. Check the awesome dry gooey gravy. The small soup on the side was full of flavoursome goodness.

I like a healthy dose of chilli, some mixed in with the dish, and the rest on the side.

Now I know why people recommend this place. The food is good, portions are plenty, and I just love the beef spart parts. Good stuff, best part came here on a saturday brunch time, probably one or two person in front of me queuing.

Pondok Ambeng @ Joo Chiat Complex, Singapore.

Back to my nasi padang cravings, I went and check out this stall at Joo Chiat Complex. Geylang Serai can be packed on weekends, and luckily this food court has lesser human traffic.

The usual works on display at the stall, I was actually tempted to try other dishes, but hey, if the stall is called Pondok Ambeng, I have to try their signature dish called nasi ambeng.

Rice with taugeh on top, pickled vege on the side, some tofu and beef rendang. Top it up with some nice sambal belacan, an all rounder kick ass awesome meal. I can't wait to be back and try their other dishes.

100g Korean Charcoal BBQ Restaurant @ Amoy St, Singapore.

Korean bbq, my friend introduced me to this place, and hands up, one of the best korean restaurants I reckon. They use real charcoal!

The starter salad was awesome.

It's not korean bbq unless you get the complimentary sides. The kimchi was good, tofu silky smooth., the white pickled radish yummy.

Makoli to wash down the grease, plus alcohol and bbq pairs very well, heck everything taste well with a bit of alcohol:)

Marinated beef with some nice marbling. It just melts in the mouth. Delicious.

The pancake was another dish I liked, generous on the ingredients.

The kimchi soup was full of flavour and have a nice spicy tang to it. Another dish I have no complains. Basically I didn't find any fault in all the dishes. Good stuff, another favourite joint I'll be back for my korean bbq cravings.

Old Bibik's Peranakan Kitchen & Gallery @ Changi Road, Singapore.

At last, managed to check out this place to satisfy my rendang cravings.

The menu is quite extensive, should have brought more people to try out the dishes.

As I was alone today, ordered the beef chicken rendang set, comes with acar/pickled vege, sambal and another type of vege. The rendang was good, the chicken meat was tender, easily came off from the bone and the beef, yummy.

Liu Da Ma Charcoal BBQ Restaurant @ Geylang Road, Singapore.

Managed to coerce a colleague of mine to check out this place, it has been on my radar list for quite some time. Beers and grilled meat? What's not to love.

The menu is quite extensive. Meats meats and meats.

Harbin beer, yummy.

Ok we were lazy, and we told em to bbq it instead of doing it ourselves on the table. Point to note, I reckon you should bbq yourselves so you can control the texture of the meat:)

I actually found this dish to be refreshing, a cold noodle.

We ordered a bunch of grilled skewers, I honestly don't know which is which. The food is good. Bring a bunch of people, order loads, order more beers, good fun for a night out.

Min Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice @ Amoy Street Food Centre, Singapore.

Found another gem in Amoy Street, was actually craving for fish soup but the stall was closed for the day. Saw this stall with a few people queuing, decided to check it out.

Boneless chicken rice! For lazy people like me:)

I went a bit overboard as I couldn't decide roast or white chicken, took half and half instead. I'm happy the uncle obliged.

Both was actually good, definitely gonna order this combo next round. Flesh was juicy and succulent. Rice was just nice, and the chilli delicious.

Gandhi Restaurant @ Little India, Singapore.

In need of a banana leaf fix, I'm very thankful I met this guy that recommended this place. It was totally out of my radar, and boy have I found a rustic good old school banana leaf indian rice.

Ok I forgot which one was this, definately a chicken, think was a masala. Spicy just the way I like it.

A standard banana leaf rice, veges, papadam and rice, and just have generous amounts of curry on top. Add on a slice of fried tenggiri fish. The curry was a stellar here, good stuff. Tenggiri reminds me of the old school type the way they fried it. Add some yoghurt/thairu on the rice mix it with curry, pure comfort food. Next round I shall try the fish cutlet and fried chicken.

Little Creatures Brewery Great Hall @ Fremantle, Australia.

A must visit at Freo is the Little Creatures Brewery. Awesome place with good beers and bar grubs. I loved my previous visit at the Melb branch, and this place is bigger, livelier and nicer scenery.

Heh I was here two days in a row to sample the beer, my personal favourite is the pilsner, bright ale, white rabbit pale ale and the pipsqueak apple cider.

View is gorgeous.

Not bad for a weekend lunch crowd huh, packed.

Some greens for starters, a rocket salad. Can't go wrong here as the ingredients are fresh.

Marinated octopus was ok, I expected more. The oysters was absolutely brilliant.

Loved the mussels, Grab some bread and dunk it in the broth. Ask for extra spicy for the added kick.

Salami pizza a bit heavy on the crust, but tasted damn good though.

The aftermath of the mussels and had to take another pic of the beer. I loved the atmosphere here, no frills, good beers, good food with excellent company. Everything was perfect, what a good day to spend my weekend.
