FCC @ Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Got here for lunch, and love the vibe, the atmosphere, the open air space, very old school. Heard the happy hours here was good as well, will probably check it out next time.

Ordered a fish amok with steam rice. It taste a bit like otah, same same but different. Whatever it is, I like it. I reckon from now on when I visit Cambodia there's two dishes I'll definitely go for, amok and lok lak. Lok Lak will try do a review next round I'm here.

This place is a bit touristy, but luckily the food makes up for it, a bit pricey but heck I love the atmosphere. They definitely did something right here.

Lucky Pho aka Special Pho @ Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

So I was walking up down this street looking for Lucky Pho, and based on the unit number the place is called Special Pho. Guess it's the same or change of management or what I wouldn't know. What I do know is, the food is good.

I ordered a beef pho the works (USD 2.50).

The condiments, love the chilli oil.

The bowl was big and generous of portions. The broth, yummy till the last drop, a good hangover food, light on the stomach (unless you went nuts like me with the heavy dollop of chilli oil).

Again their not stingy on their vegetables to add on your noodle soup. Portion seen above is for two pax.

We ordered fried springs rolls to share as an appetiser. I reckon I'll just stick to the pho next time.

The exterior of the shop, try not to miss the sign, as I know I did for a couple of rounds. I'll definitely be back here again for the food.

Ginza Yoshihiro @ Marina Mandarin Hotel, Singapore.

So been hearing about this new joint that opened at Marina Mandarin Hotel, and one of my good friends decided to buy me dinner here. Time for some good rolling drinking eating fun.

We opted for the basic omakase (which I think was 128++). I'll let the food pictures do the talking as halfway through the meal, the sake was sinking in beautifully.

The omakase was mostly sushi pieces which was sublime, truly superb. Each pieces was done meticulously, pair it with sake, good company, good staff, perfect.

Unfortunately the toro belly was out, they replaced it with a generous portion of uni roll..... which I can't complain:)

Ordered a sashimi platter add on. Good stuff. The staff was friendly, chef Bob-san was a chirpy guy, this place feels homely. A nice place to wind down after a hard days work over good sake, food and friends.

KyoChon 1991 @ KL, Malaysia.

Was wondering around this area for lunch, and saw this place that sells Korean fried chicken. Seems it's quite a famous chain from Korea.

Ordered set combo A, which comes with radish, plum drink(kinda nice actually), mixed wings of honey and spicy, rice and soup.

A bit small on the portion but just nice for one person.

Absolutely lip smacking addictive chicken wings. Love the coating of flavours on the chicken. Seriously can't stop munching on this little devils. Definitely will be back if I'm around this area again.

Restoran Pan Heong @ Batu Caves, Selangor, Malaysia.

So here I was on a weekday lunch in Batu Caves to check out the sang har wah tan hor. First time trying it actually as normally it's the usual sang har mein. So when my friend ordered this dish, I was thrilled as wah tan hor is actually one of my comfort dish.

This was around 1130am, and the place was already packed and we had to queue for tables. It wasn't long since we got one, but as there was only two of us, we shared a table with other people.

Crispy tofu roll for starters, can't stop munching on this.

Now that's what I call a comfort dish. Big prawns on top of hor fun, with lip smacking egg gravy and some greens to balance it out.

The wah tan hor had a nice wok hei to it. The prawns was fresh.

No wonder this place is packed, the food is good. A bit far to travel,, but definitely worth the journey.

Restoran Muar @ Tengkat Tong Shin, KL, Malaysia.

I just called it near Jalan Alor for the sake of easy reference, but it's the road behind/parallel to Jalan Alor, and this home cooked cuisine is on Tengkat Tong Shin. First time I was here, was by chance when one of my friends kidnapped me for lunch. It was so good, that I had to come here again next trip I was up in KL.

The menu is just like your normal sze char stall.

Sambal petai prawns and squid, a must order. I must admit, the sambal here is very tasty, not sure how they do it, doesn't taste like your average sambal.

This butter kai lan dish is just superb. Another star dish must order.

And the die die must order dish, the fried crispy egg with soya sauce drizzled on top. It's just a normal fried egg, but it's so fluffy yet crispy. I honestly can just wack this with plain rice and with some sambal on the side.

Salted egg chicken, another good dish worth mentioning. We had the otak-otak as well, not bad. Ok, here's the thing about this place, I've been to a few sze char stalls, some dishes are good, some are a miss. Been here twice, and both times, I can't find any fault in any of the dishes, if there was any fault, we over ordered being the glutton we are. The other thing I like about this place, the servers were friendly and attentive.

Nasi Lemak Alor Corner @ Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang, KL, Malaysia.

Got in early flight, and as I had ample time before lunch, went to tapau this famous nasi lemak situated at the corner of Jalan Alor and Changkat Bukit Bintang.

They had loads of dishes to go with your nasi lemak packet, very nice variety. So many dishes to try, but I had to limit myself to save some space for lunch. I know their fried chicken with spices is one of the best seller items, but I shall save that for next round I'm here.

Hard boiled egg, with generous dose of sambal, ikan bilis, peanuts, cuttlefish and paru(lungs). Now this is what I need to perk me up for the whole day ahead. Absolutely delicious.
