So a friend of mine piqued my curiosity, lamprais. I was like what the heck is that? It's actually a Sri Lankan food which basically means lump rice. Spell it how you want it but one things for sure, it's a good freaking mix rice Sri Lankan style.

Ooohhh they have kothu as well, def gonna check that out next time. So you got two options for the lamprais, chicken or mutton(which I took).

Now check that sucker out, huge lump of rice, comes with slice potatoes, a potato cutlet, 1 egg, another half potato think from the curry, some dry sambal and mutton. All come in wrapped in a huge ball of banana leaf. This is carbo overload, I had some trouble finishing this up. Food is good, a nice packed solid lunch. I'll suggest best combo would be, order 2 packs for 3 person sharing.

This place I'll avoid on a weekend, it's just jam packed with people. Came here on a weekday and damn it's still full of people. Luckily I managed to get a table fast.

Ordered a lor bak to share, still tasty as ever. Love the fried turnips(sar kok liew).

A mate of mine ordered the roti telor goyang (half boil eggs on toast). It looks pretty awesome, I think next time I'm gonna try that.

And how could I resist the morning ckt. Looks like the uncle stopped frying and just taking orders, and a lady is doing the frying. Still taste awesome. I was all stuffed up, if not I would have ordered the HK ccf. I see a bunch of table ordering it, guess it's still good.

So this place came out in the Malay Mail online off we went to check it out.

Nice selection of seafood/fish parts for your selection. I ordered the loh she fun dry and a bowl of mix fish soup. Yes mix it all in minus the fish head as I was lazy to debone.

 Fried foo chuck and fish cake to share, good stuff.

Now this is my bowl, you name it, fish maw, fish belly, skin, slice fish, prawns, fishballs, oysters and abalone. Hehe next time you come here go easy and don't go crazy like I did. My bowl costs roughly rm65. Food is indeed good, taste similar to those Johor/SG style fish soup noodles. Clean tasting and healthy, or should I say it emphasises more on the fresh seafood.

Touan Japanese Restaurant @ Isetan The Japan Store, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for lunch the other day. The menu is a bit extensive and a bit confusing, I just winged it.

A mate of mine ordered the lunch bento. Looks good and priced affordably. We also ordered a sashimi to share. Beautiful, excellent I should add.

I ordered the herring with the roe which was the specialty of the month. Good stuff.

So a good mate of mine told me to check this place, southern johor malay style of food, or basicallly masakan jawa. I came here for the dishes. But they also serve nasi ambeng, which I ordered.

The food is good, it feels home cooked. On another note I came here at night and ordered their kambing bakar(burnt goat). Oh my that was actually more superb. Just the kambing bakar and white rice. Beautiful.
