Restoran Tok Wan Nasi Kukus @ Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Took an effort to come all the way here but it paid off. Awesome nasi kukus with fried chicken.

I was here slightly before 12 noon and the place wasn't that packed yet. It definitely got packed during lunch time.

A simple plate of nasi kukus smothered in curry/gravy, sambal on the side and the fried chicken! Absolutely smashing. If you come in a group, you might get what my friends did by getting individual rice and just lump all the chicken together in a serving free for all.

Vintry Damansara @ Damansara Heights, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for a quickie happy hour over some red wines, ended up having a scrumptious dinner.

First up was it the mamak mee goreng or maggi goreng, no difference. Good stuff, check out the greens on those, the only healthy ones I had for dinner.

Excellent, can't go wrong here. The fried rice below looks plain but packs a decent punch.

My personal favourite was the Hokkien mee. It was so good we ordered a second plate. Didn't know they serve awesome Asian food here. Something new I learn everyday.

Pusat Penjaja Kampar @ Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.

So this wet market come hawker centre has different stalls operating for breakfast and dinner. We came here dinner time around 7ish pm(well late dinner as our early dinner was like 1.5 hours earlier at the claypot chicken rice place). Our main aim was to check out the chee cheong fun stall.

As the ccf wasn't open yet, I remembered watching Jason's market trails and it featured this stall selling congee and steamed chicken. Well not gonna give it a miss and ordered a single portion.

Ahem yeap this is definitely a crowd pleaser, simple stuff comfort food and taste absolutely delicious.

Friend couldn't resist seeing this ban chang kueh/apam balik stall and ordered some. Not bad, quite a good appetiser before our main course.

Now by this time the auntie and uncle arrived and was setting up the ccf stall. We thought we were early, we were number three in the queue and before you know it, there's easily 20 people queuing.

Seeing this was our last food intake before heading home, we went nuts ordering two bowl of curry ccf laden with awesome goodness. This is one mean mind boggling plate of ccf, you have to try it yourself.

Awesome place to end our makan day trip in Kampar, there's definitely more makan trails here to find next time.

Claypot Chicken Rice @ Restoran Fook Kee @ Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.

Came here for early dinner about 6pm, thankfully as the place got really packed soon afterwards.

The usual as the claypot was cooked in front of the restaurant. And they still use charcoal, yumss.

Smoking piping hot bowl when served. I gotta tell you, this is one mean bowl of claypot chicken rice. We were still stuffed from our lunch fiasco but I absolutely devoured everything which my makan mates couldn't finish.

A good spot for claypot chicken rice, food is good, friendly service and food is served fast.

Pusat Makanan Gold Wing @ Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.

We did a full day road trip to Kampar recently and our first stop was this place for lunch. It's basically a big kopitiam with loads of hawker stalls.

While waiting for our other friends to arrive, we ordered some fishball and pao. Not bad, quite decent especially the fishballs.

Our main agenda here was the porridge and steamed chicken.

Ok while waiting for the porridge we got sidetracked and went behind the kopitiam, where there was another row of stalls. Friend recommended this little suckers, kampar fried fishball?? But of course we ordered other stuff as well.

This is the stall where we got all the fresh fishball, kampar fried fishball, foo chuk and sar kok liew. And yes they can serve the food at your table in Gold Wing.

Honestly, excellent stuff, a must order to share especially the kampar fried fishballs. Wonderful little suckers.

Alright, porridge time. As usual we had the raw fish sashimi, nicely done. Porridge was simple but wholesome. The chicken oh my, superb. Been quite some time since I've tasted this good steamed chicken.

This is what I call a complete meal. Plain porridge with steamed chicken, with raw fish on the side. Simply heaven.

This if I'm not mistaken was fish innards, chewy springy I kinda like the texture. From the porridge stall.

Last but not least, had to try the beef noodle. So we ordered one portion without noodles. It's good, enough said.  Oh we also tried the asam laksa from the stall inside Gold Wing, worth ordering that too. This kopitiam have some good food to offer, do check it out.

Restoran SM Yong Tau Foo @ Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Yong tau foo in Klang? Check this place out.

For your mains, you have an option of curry noodles or ccf. I had the ccf, sauce was nicely done, lovely dollop of crispy shallots.

The yong tau foo is excellent, they have the other green vege stuff as well, but we just ordered all the fried stuff. Pair it with the chilli sayce, YUMMY!

Decent place to satisfy your ytf cravings if you're in Klang.

Lisette's Cafe & Bakery @ Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

If you fancy a good brunch spread, I reckon you should check out this spot. Be warned though, the queue can be long.

Friend had the buffet, not bad on the selections, quite a few varieties. The usual stuff on the menu with some Asian influence.

As for me, what else. Ordered the big breakfast of course. Good stuff, definitely one of the better ones I had in KL. A good place for brunch and the best part? All day breakfast is served!
