So now I managed to check out the stall myself for the ban mian, and it still taste good. This is definitely one of my favourite ban mians in Singapore.
Ordered a dry ban mian, top up with the addictive chilli sambal on the side, and they have this awesome pineapple sambal as well, equally lip smacking good. They serve it with a small bowl of soup on the side. The whole works is just simply stunning, a very good bowl of noodles.

Common Man Coffee Roasters @ Martin Road, Singapore.
Whats not to love on a weekend waking up slightly late and having brunch? A good eggs benedict and a bloody mary!
A bloody mary a day keep the doc away, ok maybe a bit too far fetched. A good hangover cure after a Friday night drinking.
Eggs benedict with ox cheeks on sourdough with loads of greens. A good perk me up on a hangover weekend. The whole meal was just spectacular, a bit expensive, but good stuff.
The mushroom salad was another dish you gotta order, can't stop munching on this, think the salad dressing was addictive that gave it an extra kick.
The CM burger was good, I had a bite of it, but I'm not a fan of the cheese they used, maybe I'm just a kampong boy that prefer my cheddar cheese.
To top it off, a nice latte. I found the coffee a bit acidic, maybe it was the batch they roasted. But all in a all a very good brunch. Definitely would be back here. Oh didn't get a picture of the grilled chicken, another below the radar dish definitely gotta order. I might get that next round!

Springleaf Prata Place @ Siglap, Singapore.
Another good contender for prata in Singapore, and why may you ask, I've been back here like 4-5 times in two months. Also there's a few factors that contribute why I frequent here, ease of parking, should be able to get a table easily and the bottom line, the food is good.
My first time here, I had a craving for thosai. Ordered a ghee onion thosai and it was done very nicely. Good stuff.
Second time here, ordered a normal prata and egg prata. Personal preference, I prefer the plain prata, it reminds me of the prata I used to eat growing up. Don't get me wrong, the egg prata was good, but it was leaning more towards a murtabak.
Third round when I was here, we ordered a medium size mutton murtabak. Boy was it huge, and it feed nicely for the both of us. Another awesome dish to order, not stingy on the ingredients. The other nice/sinful dish to order is the Umami 50 murtabak. I was raving so much about this place in the office, that a colleague of mine tapaued that murtabak back to the office, sublime!

Pizza Express @ Hong Kong Airport
Flight was delayed, so had ample time to have lunch in the airport. I'm a bit bias with Pizza Express, as the chain brings back good fond memories ages ago when I first had it at the Cambridge branch, UK. That time I could only afford a Margherita pizza and a can of coke, if there was extra cash, a good house red bottle:)
Ordered a Margherita pizza(heh) top up with pepperoni and anchovies. Taste is still good, and I just love the salted anchovies, brings a nice zing to it. The menu now is so much complex with so many items to choose from. I guess, giving customers more variety.

Lin Heung Kui @ Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.
This place brings back memories, as my first ever trip to HK, was fast and furious. Think it was a 3 day 2 nights thingy, makan, booze, party and repeat. That trip was awesome as I had a good friend who organised everything and this was one of the joints we went for brunch/lunch.
It seems this is the other branch for Lin Heung from Wellington Street. That place sigh chaotic but if you wanna a taste of old school Hong Kong, go there. For comfort and more relaxing dim sum, come here! The food is equally good.
Some beef spare parts, delicious but sinful.
Siu mai , har gao the works.
Fried yam cake and my personal favourite chee cheong fun. Oh man, definitely a must order, the chee cheong fun rocks.
Chicken feet, my friend ordered. Somehow this is just one of the things I can't seem to eat. One things for sure, this place serve good dim sums, or maybe I was nursing my hangover again eating here. Nice!

Hotpot Grill @ To Kwa Wan, Hong Kong.
This place has been on my radar for a few years and finally I'm here, another of my bucket list has been struck off yay! I seriously don't know what's the restaurant called, but google it and you should be able to find it. Bear in mind, the restaurant decor ambience is as rustic and old school as it gets.
You gotta walk through a dark small lit lane, and the shop is at the end of it.
Two charcoal burners which one was for the hotpot, and the other to grill. Most of the seafood was fresh and alive from the aquarium.
The local dips/sauce was actually very good as it opens up the appetite when you dip in your meats and seafood.
The abalones and prawns was still wriggling on the serving platter. Nice!
Some soya sauce mid chicken wings, and I think was ox tongue. The tongue was superb.
The hotpot, the broth was subtle, but add in some of the sambal/dips yummy. I was actually enjoying myself grilling on the other charcoal burner.
The prawns was sublime, good stuff. The thing was actually moving while grilling.
Scallops galore.
Some bamboo clams and big clams.
Beef strips for the hotpot, another one I keep on munching throughout the night.
Now my personal favourite for the night would definitely be the big clams, it is damn shiok. Overall, the food is good. The ambience is a bonus factor, not for the faint hearted. Also it's another adventure trying to locate this place after the taxi dropped us at the right spot, and we wandered off elsewhere looking for the restaurant lol.
