When I saw the Malay Mail article about this place, I had to go and check it out.

So my friend ordered dry curry mee while I had the normal one. Both with extra giant cockles on the side. Both were equally good, portion wise they're generous. The curry had some nice depth to it, I slurped the whole bowl down. Now the cockles, oh my if you are a sucker for this you will enjoy yourself. Superb.

Now for the noodles part, you can choose yellow mee (which we took), koew teow or bee hoon. But do try their in-house noodles which was out of stock when we came. It's sort of like ramen texture. As we were nearly finishing our bowls, the boss arrived to the shop and yes, the in-house noodles came with him. Not gonna miss this chance, we ordered another portion of dry curry noodles with the in-house noodles to share. Lovely, I'll take this noodles anytime compared to the rest on offer.

BBQ Chicken and Thai Salad @ Betong, Thailand.

Came here for a late afternoon snack, a roadside shack. I think we actually ordered quite a full meal instead of snacking. The bbq chicken plus sticky rice with some greens. The chicken was gob smacking delicious. Nicely charred but still juicy, coupled with the sauce, Yummy!

We ordered a few types of salad, fruit based above and the seafood salad with glass noodles below. Each was equally good, love the sauces in the salad. Tangy, spicy, sourly and salty. Bursting with flavours. I think I can have this everyday. Will definitely be back here next trip!

Fish Maw Soup @ Betong, Thailand.

Past by this shop a couple of times and had to try it as saw a number of people enjoying it. Not a bad setup eh, just 2 big pots by the road side in front of the bkt shop.

How was it? It's good, simple and comfort food. If it was raining, this will definitely hit the spot.

Was fancying some noodles for breakfast, some guests at the hotel recommended me this place.

Oh my, what a satisfying brekkie indeed. Excellent broth that mopped my hangover, coupled with the hot milk tea, this is good shit.

Corner shoplot opposite the 7e. This place is packed for breakfast yeah, so be prepared to queue.

Duck Noodle @ Betong, Thailand.

After checking in to the hotel we headed to this shack by the roadside selling duck noodles.

Sorry for the friendly lady who gave me a smile while taking the pictures, my bad for taking half of her face. Pic below literally a shack by the main road.

I do not know what's that but you definitely have to order that as the appetiser. Absolutely super addictive shit, can't stop popping those babies in my mouth.

Now this duck noodles is the bomb. Nuff said, you gotta try it to find out for yourself.
