Back in Bidor again and this round we went and tested the curry fish head at Noordin. We came here on a weekday and boy it was still packed during lunch time.

Forgot what type of fish head we ordered but the serving was pretty fine. Order the usual standard stuff, some chicken, cabbage, lamb etc.

The fish head flesh was fresh, the curry was sublime. Totally finger licking good. The other must order is their version of fried chicken in their own masak merah. Highly addictive! Gimme the fish curry, chicken, some cabbage and salted egg, that's a complete meal. Highly satisfying!

 I was late for lunch, told the boys to start first. Another worthy Korean joint in Solaris Mont Kiara area.

Thankfully, there was still food for me to eat when I arrived here, lol. The grilled octopus with some rice cakes and ramen was simply delicious. The pancake to my surprise was bursting with flavours, gotta order that. The side dishes was spot on too, love it.

Some friends invited over to Bangsar for some banana leaf rice for lunch. First time me here at Maya.

Place is super clean and airy, menu wise quite extensive. 

We ordered quite a bit, some mutton, fried fish, fried chicken and fried sotong.

My verdict, a worthy contender if you're in Bangsar and fancy for some banana leaf rice. Superb.

So I went and try the other steak and eggs in a hot skillet for brekkie. This time was Bò Bít Tết Cô Út in District 3 and YES you definitely have to check out this place.

They have an English menu, ordering was pretty simple. The usual condiments by the side.

I ordered the beef steak and eggs, comes with a baguette for you to slurp up all the oily goodness which was perfect for a hangover cure.

Oh my , this is a good breakfast to fuel up the day. Portions were good and taste wise excellent. Thank you chef and the service staff for a beautiful breakfast!

Another favourite place of mine for banh mi with no queues. Past two trips in Saigon and I had it for a total of 3 times. 

All the staff was very friendly, no food nazi here. Just awesome sandwiches!!!

I had a chicken for a change of flavours and also tried the tuna(was sardines though) on my third time.

Not shy on portions and tasted damn good. I'll be back.

Was around this area and I remembered I bookmarked this place. Went and check out the pho. The restaurant occupies two shoplots. There's a small aircon dining room. Quite a few tourists here as well.

Menu was pretty simple. Just order your cuts of beef.

Portions were good and I only ordered the small bowl. Packed with ingredients. Another decent bowl of pho I would say.

Found a nice pizza joint last round I was in HCMC which was not far from Walking St. So all this pics were from their last outlet at District 1.

I tapaued back to my usual bar at Walking St and slowly devoured it. Pizza was super uber feckin GOOD. Anyway I texted them again last weekend and it seems they shifted to District 3.

I'm starting to like this type of breakfast in Saigon. So this is called Bo Ne, basically strips of beefs, eggs and pate on a sizzling hot plate. You pair it with a baguette and some salad.

The guys in the front of the shop hard at work churning out all this beautiful piping hot stuff. The eggs come out nicely but not for long because of the sizzling plate.

Pro tip (actually I saw the guy next to my table did it), just douse the whole small bowl of soya sauce into the hotplate. It'll give a nice caramelised burnt taste.

Also don't forget to order their Vietnamese coffee, definitely will perk you up! This is a breakfast for champions.

Walked past this store a couple of times and decided to try it out, actually the sake called me:/ 

Ah what a yummy sake to start off the meal. Beautiful! Ordered some tuna sashimi and a mini bowl of unagi don. 

Good stuff, tuna was fresh and portions were good. The unagi was excellent, nicely charred and seasoned. Yummy.

Went and check out this Michelin selected pho called Phở Việt Nam. 

    

I saw a few people eating the hot stone bowl of pho but I went for the usual one mixed beef noodles.

Food is good, I find the broth a bit mild and ch'ng. Never the less, if I'm craving a pho and this place is near the hotel, yeah why not.
