Tai Xee Hee Dim Sum @ Betong, Yala, Thailand.

I love this place, Betong. Woke up for breakfast, put my berms on and tshirt, took the scooter out for breakfast. Air was cooling and everything about the place is just slow paced. Dim sum for breakfast!

The amount of spread available is just nuts. Pick your items and let them serve to your table.

So this was the first few items we ordered. I kinda like the ccf, a bit al dente but the stuff inside was gorgeous.

Unassuming wicked dim sum shop. Yup three pax and we ordered the whole lot below. One thing I like about the dim sum here, portions are small. So you can order more varieties. Prices are quite affordable. And the best thing? The taste is awesome.

Food is good, period. I'll be sure to check out the other dim sum shops next time. I guess another trip is in order. Soon...

Black & White Seafood Restaurant @ Betong, Yala, Thailand.

After lunch we continued happy hours and time for dinner. Someone recommended here, which surprise surprise is just behind our lunch place.

The grilled prawns was the perfect condiment after a long day of beers. The sauce that came with it had a nice zing to it.

Fresh oysters was another delight. Fried shallots, raw garlic and a twist of lime, first time trying it with the raw oysters. Sublime.

To sober up some spicy kick of tom yam. Somehow the thais know how to make an awesome omelette. Eat it with some white rice, perfect dinner.

Jung Shin Restaurant @ Betong, Yala, Thailand.

First time in Betong, climate is nice and cooling, town is small to navigate and the food, superb. I just love the laid back ambience in Betong. First up we went to check out Jung Shin for lunch. Simple thai dishes sze char.

Tom yam and omelette. Sotong with stinky beans/petai.

Chicken I think with ginger and wine. Kangkung for some greens.

Food was good and tasty. Wash it down with some ice cold beers, lovely.

Kung Lo Mein @ Lenggong, Perak, Malaysia.

I did some research and decided to come to Lenggong for breakfast otw to Betong. Wanted to try out Loh Dee wantan mee, but blardy hell the shop was closed so I went next door instead.

Tried looking for the name of the shop but can't find it, so I'll settle as the dry noodle shop next door to Loh Dee.

Ordered a koew teow mee dry with some ytf and kopi. Good portions, food was decent and priced affordably. Good place for breakfast if you're in  this part of town.

Taste Legendary Nasi Lemak @ Chow Kit, KL, Malaysia.

With a shop title like that, I'm pretty sure the owners must be damn confident of their food. So a good friend went and tapau for us.

Without and with sambal pictures. Damn this thing is the bomb. I gotta admit this sucker packs a punch. Can't say much than you gotta try it for yourself.

Nasi Kukus Boss @ Setia Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Was in the neighbourhood and a friend brought me here for lunch. Nasi kukus! Simple menu, you queue, you have two options either fried or bakar/roast chicken, pay and bring your food to the table.

I chose the fried chicken. The meal itself as a whole was awesome. Rice was done nicely, gravy had a good lemak taste to it, acar gave a nice vinegary taste, sambal hits the right notes and the chicken was fried to perfection. After I was raving about the place to my friends, one commented the ayam bakar was nicer. Shit, I am coming back to try the ayam bakar next.

Restoran New Yew Sang Seafood @ PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Stumbled here by chance for brunch, was told the Ipoh hor fun was good.

I would say the bowl is pretty decent, hits all the right flavours. We also ordered a bowl of ytf to share, good stuff.

Unassuming corner kopi tiam with some hidden gems, as I noticed they have quite a few regulars here for breakfast.

Sekai No Yamachan @ Desa ParkCity, KL, Malaysia.

I was craving for some izakaya and I remembered hearing about this place that serves superb chicken wings.

The menu is pretty extensive and I'm sure you'll find something that will suits you. I'm just here for some chicken wings and beers.

We had a portion of the original chicken wings above and lightly salted ones below.

The one above is the sauce(?) flavour and below is some squid tentacles. The chicken wings here is actually superb and very addictive. Yes I came back the following weekend to tapau the original flavour chicken wings.
