Butao Ramen @ Central, Hong Kong.

Weekday lunch time queuing for ramen, roughly 40 mins, well my mistake to come in at 12 pm, should have come 30 mins earlier.

Quite a small joint, as usual in HK.

Ordered a Black King which was a squid ink ramen, with a level 3 spicy sauce(careful with that stuff, potent, I mean it).

Ahhh check out the egg, nicely done. The ramen was executed nicely, thick hearty broth with nice infused squid ink. Can be a bit jelak, but I don't mind coming back. Maybe next time I'll skip breakfast and come here straight.

Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun @ Pek Kio Market and Food Centre, Singapore.

Haven't been back to this food centre for quite some time, and I was having a chee cheong fun craving.

This place has a perpetual queue, sigh. Luckily this round didn't take me that long.

Ordered a prawn ccf, the waiting time was well worth it. Silky smooth ccf with decent sized prawns drizzled with light soya sauce, sesame seeds and a killer sambal. Definitely a winner in my books.

Janggut Laksa @ Roxy Square, Singapore.

I normally go to the one in Queensway but this round I went to check out the Roxy Square branch or was it the main?

Ordered a 5sgd portion, looks pretty heaps ain't it.

Had to get otah from the next stall. The laksa was as great as I remembered from Queensway. The otah complemented the dish well. Quality is pretty consistent, love it.

Crystal Jade Golden Palace @ Paragon, Singapore.

First time here after hearing so much about this place, and now I know why. They serve absolutely good dim sum!

Pan fried radish, nice.

Yes, finally a winner chee cheong fun, skin was not thick and silky smooth.

Think was a crispy tofu skin with prawn, crunchy crispy on the outside.

I always stay away from chicken feet, but after the first few dishes, and a nudge by my friend, I tasted it for the first time. Nice.

The usual dim sum dishes fared very well. No complains here. Love the texture.

Yes, that is a porridge, not on the menu, if I'm not mistaken seabass porridge. Get the captain to order for you.

Not sure what soup was this to round up our meal, but definitely tasty and wholesome. I think I've found a personal favourite for dim sum. The food is seriously good and the setting, makes you feel like your dining in a serious fancy/atas dining place.

Toa Payoh Rojak @ Old Airport Road Food Centre, Singapore.

Been hearing so much about it this particular stall and at last managed to try it.

Be prepared to queue, but it wasn't that bad.

Ordered a 5 sgd portion. The rojak sauce was done nicely, generous portions, a good plate to share for starters.
