Twilight Hawkers Market @ Perth, Australia.

Boy was I lucky for this trip, it seems every fri night there's this hawker market aka pasar malam at Forrest Place. It's normally held in the warmer months roughly mid oct to april. Starts from 430pm to 9pm. Damn this place is packed when I got there at 5pm.

Centre courtyard where you can relax and have some food while people watching. There's a stage where people provide live entertainment.

And this is the stall that caught my eye, El Asador which specialises in argentian bbq. Carnivore heaven.

Ordered a meat lovers which consists of  ribs, steaks and chorizo. I was a bit disappointed they ran out of chimichurri:( but they did provide some other sauce which is actually quite nice. Good stuff.

For desserts I had the churros, oh man, sinful but uber delicious.

Malaysian satay stall.

A murtabak stall. Some stalls varies from week to week. This is actually a good melting pot to taste the diverse cuisines available. If only I had more time and space to sample it all. Come down, relax, eat some good food, watch a live band and soak the atmosphere.

Jaime's Italian @ Perth CBD, Australia.

Haven't been to the one in Singapore yet, might as well check it out here.

Loved the decor, spacious and brightly lit.

Had the black angel spaghetti, squid ink pasta! yummy.

IZY Dining And Bar @ Club St, Singapore.

Went for omakase, a bit tipsy by the time we reached, continue with more sake. I probably missed one or two pics. The guy did explained what each dish was, but heh I'll just let the pics explain themselves.

One thing I do remember, the food was excellent, or was it the sake effect. Nah the food was good indeed. We were seated at the back, sort of private, nice setting. The staff was friendly and helpful. Top notch.

Lai Huat Sambal Balachan Fish @ Guillemard Road, Singapore.

Found another gem around Guillemard area, sze char!

Ordered two kinds of vegetables.

The oyster omelette was good, came with huge pieces of oysters.

The chicken dish was another star for the night, good stuff.

Crayfish was not bad.

Crispy baby squid, I personally liked this one.

And deep fried pomfret topped with their signature sambal balachan. I actually ate more of the sambal with the plain rice instead of the fish. Addictive.

Sushi Goshin by Akashi @ Suntec City Mall, Singapore.

Suntec City is actually a foodie haven, this round I managed to check out Sushi Goshin.

There was only two of us, but we went all out on the sashimi. Picked the most lavish one on the menu. Thick cut, nice variations and fresh. Worth every penny.

 Mixed tempura, quite good.

 Agedashi tofu, nice texture.

Can't go wrong with salmon roe sushi, delicious. The menu is extensive, had a bit of headache navigating it on the ipad. So many stuff to try, limited stomach place. Another good joint for my sushi and sashimi cravings.

Lou You Bean Sprouts Chicken @ One KM, Singapore.

Ipoh chicken taugeh in Singapore?

Looks simple, but tasty. Generous portions of chicken.

Short and plump taugeh is crunchy.

I opted for koew teow instead of rice. Nicely done dry koew teow with soya sauce.

Above is the one person set at 8.50sgd plus sour plum juice at 3.00sgd. The food is good, and nearly rivals the real deal. Now I know where to go for my Ipoh chicken taugeh cravings in Singapore.

Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips @ Tanjong Katong Road, Singapore.

Feeling a bit atas for lunch and in need of a good fish and chips. Headed to Smiths for some good old fashioned British style fish and chips.

Ordered a cod and chips, a bit pricey but you pay for what you get, good quality stuff. One thing for sure, they don't skimp, this is as original fish and chips you can get, that would remind you those days after pubbing in London and your stuffing yourself silly with all the greasy food standing outside the shop in cold weather. Sentimental? Yes!

What's not to love a generous splash of vinegar on salty thick cut chips, absolutely comfort food. The fish was fresh, flaky and love the batter.

Haron Satay @ East Coast Lagoon Food Village, Singapore.

At long last, I managed to find myself in this hawker centre. I was craving for some satay and this place comes tops when I asked my friends which stall to go to.

Chicken, beef, tripe with some cuts of cucumber and onions paired with a peanut gravy sauce.

And yeap, one of the better satays I've tasted in Singapore, meat was juicy, loved the tripe! The peanut gravy is top notch. Too bad this round I was alone, didn't manage to try the chicken wings, I will be back with more people!

Quick breakfast for prata, decided to check this place out. Seems this place is opened 24 hours, guess I know where to go for supper next round:)
