Restoran Syarikat Yong Tau Foo Ampang @ Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Happy New Year folks! Another day another year and another Ampang ytf which I find absolutely smashing.

Simple standard ytf drenched in soup/gravy and the fried items below. You can pair it with white rice for more carbs.

Good stuff, I'll be back here for sure.

Forever Noodle House @ Wisma Cosway, KL, Malaysia.

Lunch time with a friend in the CBD, he brought me here. No fuss 1 bowl dish on rice or soup with rice. You do a quick makan, fill up your tummy and off you go.

There's a huge menu pasted on the wall outside the shop.

My mate had the something porky on rice and I ordered a salted chicken on rice. Oh damn this stuff is addictive.

We also ordered a Kei Ji Dong Gui Chicken Soup. Just lovely, feels like home cooking.

Ground floor, go up the escalator 1 floor, turn right and you'll see the shop on your left.

Restaurant Moon De Moon @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

This restaurant doesn't need any intro, seems a lot of people have been raving about this place for its Ipoh Hor Fun. I was actually put off by the notorious queuing time, came here slightly before 8am on a weekend and sweet not many people.

Early risers catches the worms, it pays to wake up early to avoid the queue. I ordered some sides, not bad the fishball and foo chuk.

Now the Ipoh hor fun, yeap it is freaking good. Before I had the sip of the soup, the colour of the broth already tell me it's gonna be kow and true and be hold it knocked my socks off. This is one mean bowl of kai see hor fun.

OISO Korean Traditional Cuisine @ Menara Hap Seng, KL, Malaysia.

Kimchi stew soup!!! Awesome OISO has this buddy lunch set promo.

Came with 3 banchan, love the kimchi. As usual makgeolli is a must to help digest the food later.
So we had the kimchi stew, theres chunks of tuna inside. You can choose dishes in the buddy set, we opted for the chicken and grilled fish. Portions were nice for two pax and the food? Yummy!

Decent place for lunch, I came back 2 week later and we had the octopus instead of chicken. Both were equally good.

Beef Noodles @ Kedai Makanan Dan Minuman Desa Rishah @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

A bit out of town but this is Ipoh, so everywhere is max 20 mins driving. Well depends who's driving I guess, heh. If I'm not mistaken Buntong is where the bean sprouts and koew teow come from. So I ordered dry hor fun with a foo chuk and something. I was a bit let down they ran out of sar kok liew, yeah I went late, go early next time!

It looks plain but trust me the hor fun and ytf is freaking delicious. I ordered mixed beef as per usual.

Oh damn, the broth is truly amazing. It hit all the right notes in my books, kow and a punch in your face type. Definitely my personal favourite! The beef parts was nice and I think they gave a beef ball which had a nice texture to it. Superb.

Store signage is with the red sign far right. I'll be back next time for sure and this time early to get my sar kok liew. Bonus tip Kampung Kacang Puteh is just around the corner so do visit some of the shops there to get your kacang puteh fix!

Beef Noodles @ Simee Tau Foo Fishball @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Stadium Ipoh the hawker centre has some good food, as I'm still on a hunt for beef noodles, went and check out the Simee Tau Foo Fishball here. Yeah I know, for a fishball noodle stall, they serve equally a good ngau lam mein.

Ordered mixed beef noodle soups and some fishballs on the side. Fishballs was good but I prefer the darker ones, probably because it taste like a keropok lekor. Lovely.

Nice, love the beef noodles, soup was good, had radish in it, gave out that clean taste with some kicky beefy heartiness. Was a good breakfast indeed.

Cheong Kee Beef Noodles Stall No 47 @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Another worthy joint for beef noodles is this stall in Ipoh Glutton Street. Only open in the evenings is Cheong Kee stall no 47.

I like this place, very old school and service is fast. Had the mixed beef, not shy with their portions and the beef was done right. Soup had a nice robust flavour to it and their sambal chilli was a bit different than normal but I like it.

One thing that caught me here, the beef noodles were served in a classic old school bowl  and not the normal plastic ones. Thumbs up good stuff.

Super Boring Club @ Bukit Bintang, KL, Malaysia.

Some korean japanese fusion for makan? Check this place out behind changkat bukit bintang @ Jalan Mesui. We were here for lunch but as some of us had heavy breakfast, we decided to order some dishes/snacks to share.

The tuna was done good. The chicken below was awesome, I bet it would go well with some beers.

This is my second time here and I had to order the gyoza. Seriously it's good!

Another must order dish is the eggplant as well as the beef tataki.

As usual need some greens we ordered the beef salad bowl. The food is good. Better yet, I reckon happy hour here will do some justice. Beers, soju, makgeolli and food, ahhh beautiful.
