Restoran Jin Xuan Hong Kong @ Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Came here dim sum for breakfast, packed! Luckily the food was good.

As usual tonnes of stuff on the menu.

The porridge was good. Something light to open up the appetite.

The rest of the dim sum is equally good.

I adore the ccf a lot, some comfort food. Again this place is packed, the food is decent and it doesn't dent the wallet.

Seafood @ Redang Station No 15 @ Sekinchan, Selangor, Malaysia.

I've been eyeing this place for quite sometime as they serve fresh local oysters. Finally with a few friends, we went on a Saturday day trip.

Rustic decor.

The seafood are fresh as they are kept in tanks. We didn't order the crab though as there was only three of us.

Clams cooked with chinese wine. Superb, really enjoyed the sweet soup. The clams were super fresh.

Their signature fried noodle, this was another addictive dish. Good wok hei.

Prawns deep fried had a nice sweet taste to it.

Fried foo chuk goes well with beers.

I actually love this little suckers. Lightly blanched in hot water, the cockles were big in sizes and succulent.

The fishballs were big and bouncy. Mental note in mind, tapau some fresh ones to bring  back home.

And finally the oysters, at rm4 a pop, better get your oyster cravings fix here. Sublime.

View from the back of the restaurant.

The food is super fresh, I can't find any fault in any of the dishes. Although the drive was a bit far for lunch but was definitely worth it.

Hokkien Prawn Mee @ Red leaf Restoran, KL, Malaysia.

On a prowl of a good prawn noodle, did some survey, vkeong came out on google hits. Went and check it out.

I gotta say, this is indeed a good bowl of prawn noodles. The broth reminds me of my childhood memories. I'm certain the uncle took great care and boil/cook the broth for a long period of time to achieve this standard instead of short cuts. The flavour was just sublime.

Add a dollop of the sambal and its a masterpiece. Definitely a keeper.

Restoran Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice @ Pudu, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for lunch on a weekday.

Charcoal fired claypot in front of the shop.

A beautiful mix of colours, chicken, lap cheong, and salted fish in a small bowl. Haven't had a good bowl of claypot chicken rice lately and this one hits the spot.

Seafood tofu was a nice add on as well. Will definitely be back here for my claypot chicken rice fix.

Restoran Yut Kee @ KL, Malaysia.

They have shifted to a new location and this place is bustling with customers. Be prepared to queue if you come during peak hours.

Ordered a chicken chop, I miss this old school style. Simple yet satisfying. Don't forget to order the coffee here as well, it's a killer. Prices has gone up but like all the places in KL it's becoming a norm.

Chinese Indian Fish Head Curry @ Restoran Sin Hiap Kee @ Pudu, Kl, Malaysia.

This place can be pretty packed during lunch hours. That's a reason why, it serves awesome fish head curry. Come in early say 1130ish or sharp at 12pm.

Wide array of dishes for selection, you can either go ala carte grab a plate of steaming white rice and choose your dishes. Or if in a group just request for dishes you would like to be served at the table.

The friendly auntie serving us.

Big pots of curry with the fish head on top.

Fish roe, squid in red sauce, sambal hijau (green chilli) and on top the big ball is the chicken cutlet (loaded with chicken meats and potatoes). The sambal hijau was awesome stuff, the rest being equally good.

This round we opted for fish tail, gravy was addictive as usual.

Lala, can't go wrong. Fresh sweet spicy, just lovely.

Restoran Sari Ratu @ Desa Pandan, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for lunch the other day. Sari Ratu is actually one of the first few restaurants that made me fell in in love with nasi padang. The standard and quality of the food maintains throughout their branches.

As usual we ordered a feast of dishes.

Definitely a must order for me is the beef tendons.

The sambal hijau was done nicely. Chicken was good, beef was good, heck everything was perfect.

Roti Canai @ 123 Corner @ Kampung Sungai Penchala, KL, Malaysia.

Sunday breakfast and I had a massive craving for roti canai. Did a google search for top 10 roti canai in KL and decided to check this place out.

Big signage at the traffic light, you won't miss it.

Ordered a roti telur garing potong banjir with sambal (egg prata extra crispy, cut and flooded with gravy + sambal). Divine. Lovely piece of roti telur with the sambal giving it the extra kick.

Uncle Rani Chicken Farm @ Kuang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Heard about this place ages back, finally managed to check it out. Been back here twice, gotta call and do a reservation as this place is packed during the weekends. Closed on Mondays.

Yes it's a chicken farm which doubles up with a small kitchen serving awesome chickens.

Chicken rendang was a top seller here. Nice balance of aromatics.

Roasted chicken was a killer, love slurping up the oils at the bottom. Something like essence of chicken.

While at it do grab some toddy to wash down the food.

The rice was seriously addictive, I found myself having seconds and thirds. Seems they procure the rice grains from Sekinchan. The rice was cooked with some chicken fats? oil? Hence giving it a lemak taste.

This was from my second visit, we ordered the steamed chicken.

Laidback setting with some tables and chairs over good home cooked food. My personal favourite had to be the roasted chicken.
