Seni Sattisorru @ Brickfields, KL, Malaysia.

Haven't had this in ages, so when my mates were going here for lunch, I decided to crash them. What's not to love about cooking rice in curry in a claypot.

They got some fresh seafood if that is your liking. Each claypot are made to order below.

Ordered some fried sotong to share, very addictive. I tried the chicken one before, but I still prefer the mutton. Claypot came piping hot, soaked in curry.

If you prefer a heavier taste, opt for the mutton. To die for! And chopped plus confirmed your afternoon session would be food coma.

Om Pot Biryani (Mannpaanai) @ Brickfields, KL, Malaysia.

If you want something good, you have to wait for it to be cooked. Best is to call in advance and make your order. Now this briyani is worth the wait, trust me.

My ice lemon tea was served in an earthen pot. Below is the claypot briyani freshly cooked and poured onto the banana leaf.

I ordered the mutton and my friend had the chicken. One of the best briyani I tasted, flavours were all nicely infused. Pair it with the spicy curry, yup this is one legit meal. Both the mutton and chicken were tender and smooth. My advice skip breakfast, indulge yourself to this hearty lunch and be prepared for food coma through out the whole afternoon in office. Amazing!

Claypot Chicken Rice @ Restoran Fook Kee @ Kampar, Perak, Malaysia.

Came here for early dinner about 6pm, thankfully as the place got really packed soon afterwards.

The usual as the claypot was cooked in front of the restaurant. And they still use charcoal, yumss.

Smoking piping hot bowl when served. I gotta tell you, this is one mean bowl of claypot chicken rice. We were still stuffed from our lunch fiasco but I absolutely devoured everything which my makan mates couldn't finish.

A good spot for claypot chicken rice, food is good, friendly service and food is served fast.

Restoran Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice @ Pudu, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for lunch on a weekday.

Charcoal fired claypot in front of the shop.

A beautiful mix of colours, chicken, lap cheong, and salted fish in a small bowl. Haven't had a good bowl of claypot chicken rice lately and this one hits the spot.

Seafood tofu was a nice add on as well. Will definitely be back here for my claypot chicken rice fix.

Geylang Claypot Rice @ Geylang, Singapore.

One of my favourite dining place for dinner, if I can get enough people to go. Best part, you can call in advance for them to prepare the claypot dish, as normally it'll take about 45 mins for it to be done. Talk about efficiency.

The infamous geylang claypot chicken rice, this is before they add the dark soya sauce and mixing it. A wholesome claypot of just comfort food. Chicken, lap cheong(chinese sausages), some greens on a hot cooked white rice to share with your fellow diners.

We ordered side dishes to share, thai soft shell crab, this stuff is awesome. I can't help myself stuffing down this dish. Just addictive when you coupled it with the Asahi beer on tap. Yes, coffee shop fine dining with Asahi beer on tap!

As usual some greens to balance out the dinner, crunchy and nice. As you noticed, we didn't order much as there was only me and another old good friend of mine. Simple dishes, catching up over beers and good comfort wholesome food. Top notch.

Blanco Court Sliced Fish Soup @ Beach Road, Singapore.

This is another all time favourite for me to when my colleagues tapau for lunch in the office. I actually haven't been to the place yet.

Yes it looks messy, the sliced fish is at the bottom of the bowl, the stuff you see on top is the diced/shredded fried egg, and yes the one on the right is further fried egg. The soup is delicious, coupled with the fried egg, absolutely sinful but yet each broth scoop I take my mind is telling me its healthy,

Normally I'll have it with plain rice or with noodles, but today was an extra special one and I feel like splurging. So I skipped the white rice, and instead ordered a claypot chicken rice from the stall next door. This is the ultimate combo meal where one can have for lunch, I had to skipped dinner by the way. The claypot rice was ok on its own, but once you paired it with the fish soup, it's just a combination bursting with flavours. Good stuff.
