New Restaurant Ipoh Chicken Rice @ Jalan Gasing, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

So I arrived early and the pub wasn't opened yet(next post), had about 40 mins to kill, there's two shops quite famous for their Ipoh chicken rice in Jalan Gasing, we opted to try this one out.

I ordered something light koew teow soup, broth was flavoursome.

Pork meatballs to share.

How can you not order the taugeh when you have Ipoh chicken rice. Good stuff, nearly as good to the ones in Ipoh.

Chicken was tender and juicy, loved the skins. I can't shake the feeling there's a bit of msg somewhere, correct me if I'm wrong. Next stop, time to hit some beers at the pub next block.

Shin Minori Japanese Restaurant @ UE Square, Singapore.

Japanese buffet at Shin Minori ala-carte style.

Marinated octopus, I just adore this little suckers, delicious.

Highlight of my dinner, the sashimi slices. Slack the salmon belly was hidden behind the green plastic in the picture. Thick freshly cut sashimi, no complains here.

The maki rolls was another star here, the chef did a good job.

The taugeh think was teppanyaki style, crunchy, I liked it. Beef was alright, or maybe they serve a big portion for the two of us.

And the rest of the grilled and yakitori stuff. Food is good, or maybe I was stuffing down the sashimi down the throat that by the time I reached the rest, had some difficulty in finishing it. Menu is extensive, and the portion can be big.

Wee Nam Kee Hainanese Chicken Rice @ Marina Square, Singapore.

Craving for a chicken rice, decided to go tapau from Wee Nam Kee.

Some people will cringe the way I eat my chicken rice, but this is how I have mine:) Anyway ordered a mix roast and white chicken, too bad the roast chicken was overshadowed by the white chicken in the pic.

Chilli is awesome, chicken was good, rice was tasty as well. It did satisfy my cravings, a nice all rounder chicken rice.

Mr. Wong Seremban Beef Noodles @ Marine Parade Central Market and Food Centre, Singapore.

Alas, I've managed to taste this beef noodles after hearing so much about it, and I have found a personal favourite in the East.

Ordered a big bowl of mix beef with parts dry noodles. I was kinda lazy to get a small bowl for the chilli, decided to gamble it off and just pour a decent amount of it straight in the bowl.

Comes with a small bowl of broth on the side, decent or maybe the chilly was too empowering, but the star was the beef noodles dry.

This is one mean bowl of beef noodles, everything was executed perfectly. The spare parts was shiok, beef slices done right, and the thick goeey paste mix well with the noodles. The groundnuts added a crunchy dimension to it and the pickled vegetables plus lime gave a nice soury salty taste. I was sweating profusely from the chilli, super. Top notch stuff.

Okkudak @ Telok Ayer, Singapore.

Found another gem, we were drinking at Club St, then one of my friends suggested we come here for a quick bite, Korean Fried Chicken. Best decision ever, plus I get to further indulge in soju bombs:)

We ordered an oven baked chicken original (pic above) and fried chicken(think was plum sauce spicy thingy). Both was equally kick ass in their own way. Super addictive and goes well with beers.

The sides white radish was surprisingly refreshing and tasty.

Careful of the sauce covering the chicken, very very addictive. We also ordered a pancake on the side, but after all the cheers totally forgot to take a pic of it. Food is good, soju bombs was good, and its the company that counts.

Noodle Cafe @ Golden Mile Complex, Singapore.

I actually haven't tasted the original boat noodle in Bangkok, but this bowl of noodles certainly hits the spot. Think a Bangkok trip is in order soon.

Ordered a big bowl of  beef noodles with the most spicy level. I was sweating after a few mouthful of the soup. This bowl of noodles seriously kick ass, can't stop myself from slurping the soup.

Wash it down with the Thai Milk Tea, a bit sweet but yummy.

Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee (KL) @ Macpherson Road, Singapore. Revisited.

Time to revisit the chilli pan mee!

Ahhh the addictive chilli, simply gorgeous.

A bowl of fishball, meatball and tofu skins to share.

Check out the egg yolk, nicely done. Still a good bowl of chilli pan mee.

Yong Tau Foo @ Tiong Bahru Market and Food Centre, Singapore.

Quick breakfast at Tiong Bahru Market, and found this stall with not much queue.

Decent bowl of ytf, soup was robust and the ytf pieces hits the spot.

Ramen Bar Suzuki @ Alibabar @, East Coast Road, Singapore.

Quick brunch at Alibabar on East Coast Road, was craving for a ramen.

Ordered a jet black tonkatsu ramen.

Decent bowl of ramen, but I reckon the Boat Quay branch does a meaner bowl. Still good though, I don't mind coming back here for a quick bite. No frills stall in an upmarket kopi shop, where I can have beer on tap;)

Mee Goreng @ Hass Bawa @ Marine Parade Central, Singapore.

Mee goreng stall and was on the Singapore Hawker Masters 2014, I had to check it out.

Mee goreng with upsize on the meat. The guy was friendly, there was no queue, I ordered, he said come back in 5 mins to pickup. I took the opportunity to run opposite and get a teh tarik from Hilmi Sarabat stall (seems another famous stall, one of Singapore's president use to tapau teh tarik from here) got a table and came back to collect the mee goreng.

The mee goreng is delicious, it hit all the right spots. One of my biggest complains when I have mee goreng, the meat is normally is non existent. If you're a carnivore like me, please order with extra meat. I honestly understand the hawkers trying to deliver good food at an affordable price, so do them a favour, just tell them upsize on meat or upsize the whole portion. Good stuff! After that wash it down with the teh tarik, ahhh now this is what I call a good brunch.

SAMA @ Central, Hong Kong.

I was actually on Gough Street queuing for something else, but due to unforeseen circumstances we were forced to go elsewhere for lunch. Bummer, bad hangover, plus queuing for 40 mins under the hot sun I was dying for a seat somewhere in the air con. Luckily my friends decisive action suggested this place instead after looking at my pathetic face(although the queue was another 15 mins zzzz).

A Japanese curry joint with Sapporo origins. I kinda like Jap curry, it's one of those comfort food, and this one was a totally refreshing take on me.

The menu explains the ordering process. Choose a level of spiciness, I opted for 20 and chicken curry with tomato based.

Comes with an egg and array of vegetables. Standard comes with rice. Add extra if you prefer ramen. Heard rice was free refill.

The chicken meat just fall off from the bone, tender and delicious. The vegetables added a nice colour to the dish, now lets talk about the curry. Being tomato based, the curry was lumpy, love the texture, and level 20? mannnnnn I was doing well the first few scoops, super addictive, I was actually scooping it like a soup, until 10 mins later, everything kicked in and sweat was running down my cheeks. But that didn't stop me from devouring the dish, gorgeous. I stole a bit of my friends hamburg burger curry and it tasted better than the chicken, guess I'm a bit bias when it comes to beef. I guess it was a silver lining in the cloud when we went here instead for lunch, it totally cured of my hangover:)

Yoyogi Sushi Sake Bar @ The Grandstand, Singapore.

It's been quite some time since I've been back at The Grandstand, too far! But the saving grace, ample parking, and I reckon I should come back here often, so peaceful!:) This round am off to check out Yoyogi.

Grilled puffer fish with mayo dip. I can actually sit at the bar, drink sake and beer while munching on this the whole night.

The oyster was just sublime.

The sake was kicking in, not sure what the two dishes above and below is called, but I remembered it tasting good.

No fault with the sashimi, fresh, uni was to die for, the tuna, sigh just melt in the mouth.

This was a refreshing dish, clean the palate. You pour the broth into a small bowl.

And the last dish, foei gras. A rich tasting dish to sum up the meal. Damn it, I never asked for the mentaiko angel hair pasta, I shall be back to have that the next round. I'll be honest, last round I came to Yoyogi was when they were still at Mohamed Sultan. Even though they switched venue, rest assured the quality of food is still there.

Anson Town @ Changi Road, Singapore.

Chee Cheong Fun cravings for brunch, decided to check out this place. The place was packed when I arrived, so I did a take away instead. Bummer when my food was ready, there was 2-3 tables vacant:/ Turnover of tables were quite fast.

Spring onion with light soya sauce, fried shallots on top, reminds me of the Ipoh style ccf.

The Anson special, ccf with turnip fillings. This was actually surprisingly delicious. Both ccf was equally good. Next time I know where to tapau when my ccf craving hits. They sell other dishes as well, the dry mee looks authentic, think I'm gonna test that one out the next round.
