Tiger Char Koew Teow @ Kafe Ping Hooi @ Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

Brekkie at Ping Hooi and I straight went for the Tiger ckt while my mate opted for the loh mee.

An unassuming kopi tiam with good food. Both the loh mee and ckt was on par and worth to check it out.

Ah Muk Noodle @ SS 15, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Finally had a try of Ah Muk Noodle at SS 15 and was it worth the hype?

Friend ordered the kam pua noodle with curry chicken, he gobbled everything up with dollops of the in house garlic vinegar.

We had the lor bak for sharing, it was good. My loh mee well, smashing. Was it worth the hype, well I don't know. Would I come back, heck yeah.

Chia Bee Lor Mee @ North Bridge Road, Singapore.

So here I was on an early weekend breakfast. I heard this place is a favourite for late suppers as it opens from 2am right up till around 10am, I might be wrong.

The bowl came with generous portions of battered shark meat, thick gooey sauce and sambal plus cencalok on the side.

The gravy is a bit bland, but once u mix everything in, that's where the magic happens. Superb, so for you late night party goers do check this place out.

Keng Heng (Whampoa) TeoChew Lor Mee @ Golden Mile Food Centre, Singapore.

I'm not accustomed of having lor mee, but when I first tried it, it reminds me of a sharks fin soup but bigger version with extra stuff ie noodles fish etc etc. This is a hearty meal, as the gravy is a bit starchy, I seldom eat it, but once in a while, I'll have the craving for it, and thank god my colleague did a take away for me for lunch in the office.

Check that out, noodles at the bottom, thick starchy gravy, with braised pork, and the red coloring on top? The sambal belacan coupled with chili padi. This is not a dish for the faint hearted, the sambal belacan is killer spicy. Honestly I actually craved for the spicyness, this dish make me sweat after a few spoonfuls.

It comes with fried fish skins, fried wanton, fish cake, fish, and ngoh hiang. As I mentioned earlier, its a wholesome meal. Nice!

Mix it all up, this stalls serves a decent lor mee. Thumbs up!
