Yipzai Seafood Noodle (葉仔海鮮粉) (BERKELEY) @ Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Back in Taman Berkeley for lunch, friend brought me here for some fish soup noodle. Place is clean airy and bright.

I opted for the dry noodles, yummy. Broth was spot on and portions were generous.

This was an awesome bowl of fish soup noodles. This would definitely be one in my list if I'm ever back in Berkeley.

Char Koew Teow and Fishball Noodle @ Stall 14, Gerai Makan 17/1A, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Lunch time and off we went to this small food court tuck in Seksyen 17.Our mission here is for the char koew teow and some fishballs in soup. If I'm not mistaken the stall is called Meng Kee, anyway stall number 14.

Only one uncle manning the stall, luckily he's quite fast in churning up bowls of noodles and plates of fried koew teow. Oh my, the char koew teow is pretty decent, has the wok hei. Portions were good too. Total comfort food.

Wash it down with a few fishballs in the broth, amazing combo for a rainy day lunch. This was one heck of a lunch! I'll be back.

Zainul Nasi Kandar Original No. 90 @ PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Hell yeah, time for some nasi kandar and off we went to Zainul's in PJ. It's in a food court at Jalan Sultan in PJ. Game ON!!!

They've got a decent spread to choose from. I went for their ayam goreng, some spareparts, cabbage, salted egg with mix gravy.

Voila, what a power packed plate this was. Mix curry gravy was spot on, fried chicken was huge and delicious. Expect food coma when you go back to office.

Mama Lek แม่เล็ก – Thai Beef Noodle @ Wisma Cosway, KL, Malaysia.

I've been wanting to check out this place when they were back in a food court, I think back then it was in Setapak. Now they're located on Ground floor at Wisma Cosway. Place is comfy and spacious with aircon.

Menu is well laid out with a few options to choose from.

I went for the classic beef ball noodles. First sip of the broth without any add on condiments. Broth was super rich in umami flavour. Next step add in all the condiments, chilli flakes, sugar, fish sauce. Oh man this is indeed a stunning bowl of beef goodness. Packed with interesting notes.

SQ Flight Fukuoka To Singapore.

With a heavy heart, time to fly back. I'm gonna miss Fukuoka sob sob.

Damn the satay was excellent, thought it's gonna be dry but the satay was juicy and the peanut sauce was spot on. I booked the Hanakoireki meal in advance, good stuff. Lovely meal.

Had some assortment of cheese before landing to wash down the balance sake.  Finally at the lounge in Changi, my first time trying the signature curry laksa(as I am always scared of needing to go the loo in aircraft). Yup the curry laksa is a MUST try, now I know what's all the hype is about.

Thank you Singapore Airlines, always been good flying with you lot!

Various Izakaya @ Hakata DEITOS ANNEX @ Fukuoka, Japan.

I'm starting to love this cosy corner in Hakata Station where all the shops are specialising in Izakaya. This area gets packed after working hours. As my hotel was nearby, I've been popping by here almost every night to have a nightcap before retiring to bed. So I don't know which shop is called what, I'll just spam all the pics of the various restaurants inside.

Everything was perfect, zero complains on the restaurants here. Service is fast, food is good, the staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Oh yes don't forget to try the variety of booze available.

Hakata Bunka-ya Curry Shop 博多文化屋カレー店 @ Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, Japan.

Not far from Udon Taira, 5mins walk is a MUST GO place if you're a fan of Japanese curry. This place brings back me back in time, looks like a cafe full of manga books back in the 90s. Too bad I can't read Japanese, if not I would probably be here everyday just reading the sheer volume of manga labels they have.

The outside of the restaurant is damn quirky, aiyak forgot to take a pic of the inside. Was too mesmerised by the smell of the curry. You can actually smell the curry from a few shoplots away. That's how I know it's gonna be good.

My last night in Fukuoka, I went for the oxtail curry on rice. First time I'm seeing a Japanese curry with such a dark colour. Oh my, the meat just slide off from the bone, soft and tasty. The curry? Damn sonnn, this is top notch. Thick, but not the jelak type, super addictive. Make sure add on the red pickle, pairs damn well with the curry. Highly recommended!

Love it, confirmed on my list next trip I'm back here.
