Char Koew Teow @ Blue Boy Vegetarian Food Centre @ KL, Malaysia.

This whole food court sells vegetarian food, you have the usual chap fan/econ rice but there are other stalls like mee jawa, ytf and ckt. I'm here for the ckt.

My friend told me this ckt dude was frying here easily minimum 30 years. Wow that's a pretty darn long time. Well if it's any testament to that, I have to say the ckt is pretty damn good for a vegetarian ckt. I wonder how a vegetarian mee jawa will taste like, for the next trip then.

Restoran De Fook Hong Kong Seafood @ SS2, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Seafood for dinner, off we went to this joint in SS2.

Since it's still CNY mood we ordered a plate of yee sang, well executed. Won't bore you with the name of the dishes, everything was good.

Now this is the killer dish, forgot was it baked or steam crab in a claypot with yes you saw that right laden with lard. Killer!

The other favourite dish of mine was this prawn sotong lala thingy cooked I reckon Thai style, nice!

We took the crab out, ordered a few bowls of hot steaming white rice and just mix it in the claypot with all the hearty goodness of the lard.

Salted egg crab and forgot what fish was this. All in all it was a beautiful dinner except maybe one two misses. Food is good and I will be back!

Sang Kee Restaurant @ Lor Yap Ah Loy, KL, Malaysia.

This place is a bit nostalgic for me, haven't been back here for quite some time and I noticed the prices have gone up quite a bit with the years passing by. But if you're looking for an old fashioned sang har mein, this is definitely the place to check it out.

I'll gladly say the standard did not deteriorate a bit, still there Superb. Better check with the server the prices per prawn before ordering. Ordered some greens to balance out the diet.

Now the other noodles worth ordering are the beef hor fun and Singapore mee hoon, more easy going on the wallet. The taste? Awesomeeeeee and yummylicious. Although the big tree which use to shade this old school eatery is gone, the food here is still good as I remember it years ago.

Beard Brothers BBQ @ Tropicana, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

Yeah yeah, been quite some time since I came here, carnivore overload! This post spans over two visits to this place. First visit we had two mains and one ramen to share.

Had the pulled lamb and brisket (not in pic). Top notch stuff although the portions were a bit small but thankfully the ramen filled us up. Ramen the whole was there, the onsen egg, the al dente noodles, a sheet of seaweed and beef bacon. The beef reminds me of biltong, yummy.

Now on my second visit, there was 3 hungry adults which devoured the whole platter above. Not sure which platter was it, but I added some sausages and extra briskets(divine!!!). Beef brisket, burnt ends, pulled lamb, sausages, ribs, chips, bun, coleslaw, cornbread and mash potatoes, absolutely smashing.

Restoran Nasi Kapau (Masakan Minang) @ Chow Kit, KL, Malaysia.

Nasi padang galore, found another hidden gem on Jalan TAR in KL. There's tonnes of dishes on display and to choose from including some exotics parts.

Standard fare would be ayam pop and the 2 sambals. Smashing! Some vege, tendon and stomach.

Some ulams, petais, beef rendang and crispy beef. Food is good, you'll probably have a second serving of white rice to mop up all the dishes.

Girl & Mommy Curry Mee @ Chan Sow Lin Food Court @ KL, Malaysia.

I've had this couple of times friend tapaued for lunch, love the curry mee and beef noodles. This is my first time coming here to eat in the Food Court.

They have quite an extensive menu but the star attraction is the curry noodles, although their beef noodles is equally there if you ask me. The others I should come back and try it....

Now check that bad ass looking curry noodle bowl. The broth is not that thick, just nice to my liking not to the extent of jelakness. They do not skimp on portions, so many liews! Winner winner chicken dinner! The price? Affordable.
