Basokiya Kasoga @ Hakata Bus Terminal, Fukuoka, Japan.

Breakfast and this time we went to Hakata Bus Terminal which was next to the Hakata Station. We're having yakisoba this round. Order from the vending machine in front of the restaurant, walk in and the staff will guide you to your table and they will pick the order chit from you.

Restaurant was big and airy, ample seating spaces. One thing I like about Japan, is the fast turnover of tables. people don't hog the tables. They eat and leave fast.

We ordered one plate for sharing and it was good stuff. Reminds me of lou she fun, but the noodles were bouncy and chewy. Shioksss.

Torinchi Hakata Station Chikushi Exit Branch @ Fukuoka, Japan.

After some beers my mate brought me here for dinner. Some chicken grilling place which was packed! Reservations are advised.

Open kitchen in the middle of the restaurant where you can see all the work being done. I think below was the garlic fried rice.

The special dish of this restaurant is their home made tsukune chicken balls. A must order! Seriously it tasted heavenly.

Some greens to balance out all the diet, below was an assortment of chicken platter. Don't forget to order the chicken skin skewers as well.

I asked the chef about this dish which I saw from the nearby table which was some chicken breast marinated in don't know what. We ordered one portion of that as well. Thank god of me being kaypoh another must order dish!

This is my kinda meal. Slowly enjoy your grilled meats, wash it down with some beers and highballs or lemon sour. One of my favourite place to makan in Fukuoka being my first trip in Japan. Food was sublime, service was top notch. Definitely will come back here if I'm back in Fukuoka again.

I nicely tucked in for beers and some mentaiko, ooohhhh yummy.

Mate had the curry katsu. Also delicious.

O Kiyo Shokudō @ Nagahama Fish Market, Fukuoka, Japan.

Another day another breakfast and this round we went to the Nagahama Fish Market. Randomly picked one of the restaurants there and prayed it better be good!

Ask for the English menu and choose your sets or ala carte. As usual I chose to sat at the bar counter so I can see the chefs do their work. Everything is freshly sliced, yumms!

Some starter to share, I think it was the mini sesame yellowtail. By all means of course a sake just to kickstart the day.

I had the sashimi set meal. Portions were generous, I think a bit too heavy for me for a brekkie. But boy was it worth it, decadent meal indeed. Love it!

Nadai Ramentei @ Hakata Station, Fukuoka, Japan.

As we got in early to our hotel, dumped our bags and came here for brekkie. Yeahhhh first meal in Japan is ramen!

Seems they have a breakfast ramen which is quite friendly on the wallet. No frills small shop where you order, dine and get out. We were lucky as when we got in, there was no queue, but by the time we left, there was a long queue outside. Don't worry, as usual the lines rotates quite fast.

What a delicious bowl of ramen, slurped every last bit of it. YUMMY!

SQ Flight Singapore to Fukuoka.

Took a red eye flight from Changi, Singapore to Fukuoka. As usual SQ service is top notch, always love to fly with them. Booked the menu ahead and this is what I had.

Splendid spread, hits all the spot. Been a while since I had good food on flights. Again SQ did an impeccable job. Service crew was courteous and attentive. Five stars out of 5.

Warung Pantai @ Kuta Utara, Bali, Indonesia.

Alright time for some food and beers by the beach side. I was staying around this area and we went to Warung Pantai. Nothing fancy, some nice beach bar with good food and some sea breeze.

Ordered a mee goreng, a fried rice and a seafood platter for sharing.

Awesome, perfect place to laze around during the day with nice food over some beers. Very laidback vibe. My perfect spot.

Warung Laota @ Bali, Indonesia.

Nice, sometimes after a heavy night out, we normally go for porridge for supper. This round we checked out Warung Laota at the Nusa Dua branch(they have 3 outlets in Bali). As you can see from their signage, they boldly proclaim HK porridge and seafood steamboat specialist.

We ordered a few variety of porridges with some salted egg on the side.

Some greens and omelets to balance out the diet (lol). Oh my don't forget the century egg and some youtiao.

Porridge was super good, I like it done this way, starchy with a nice thickness. Congee lah. Side dishes were good. It was a super comfort meal after a heavy night out drinking, proper supper food. Not too heavy and easy to go to bed later.

Suizan @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

Was feeling a bit peckish, so I checked out this restaurant nearby my hotel called Suizan. Yes I know, this trip I think I had more Japanese food than local, lol.

They had this special deal set from 11am to 5 pm, so I opted for the gyu don. Quite a stealer I reckon.
As you can see from the picture below, it's quite a hearty meal. Surprisingly good and worth every penny.

The Gangs Central @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

This place is a mad house, better make your reservations before hand like maybe way in advance. I was lucky as a mate of mine did the booking.

We ordered the normal pub grub food, portions were nice and they have a nice variety of menus.

This place is packed for a reason. People come here just to drink, eat and enjoy the live band shows plus dj sessions. The crowd is just amazing here, people would dance on the chairs and table as well. Good vibes. Definitely a must go if you're in HCM.

Marukame Udon @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

I walked past by this packed restaurant a few times and I didn't managed to check it out the last time I was here in Vietnam. This trip  I made it a point to eat here.

As usual the place had a queue but the turnover was fast. Menu is simple and they have English translation as well. I ordered the beef udon as usual and with an onsen egg.

Nicely done, udon was perfect, just the way I like it, chewy and springy. Beef was good and portions were generous. Broth was comforting. I slurped down the entire bowl, beautiful!
