SQ Flight Singapore to Fukuoka.

Took a red eye flight from Changi, Singapore to Fukuoka. As usual SQ service is top notch, always love to fly with them. Booked the menu ahead and this is what I had.

Splendid spread, hits all the spot. Been a while since I had good food on flights. Again SQ did an impeccable job. Service crew was courteous and attentive. Five stars out of 5.

Warung Pantai @ Kuta Utara, Bali, Indonesia.

Alright time for some food and beers by the beach side. I was staying around this area and we went to Warung Pantai. Nothing fancy, some nice beach bar with good food and some sea breeze.

Ordered a mee goreng, a fried rice and a seafood platter for sharing.

Awesome, perfect place to laze around during the day with nice food over some beers. Very laidback vibe. My perfect spot.

Warung Laota @ Bali, Indonesia.

Nice, sometimes after a heavy night out, we normally go for porridge for supper. This round we checked out Warung Laota at the Nusa Dua branch(they have 3 outlets in Bali). As you can see from their signage, they boldly proclaim HK porridge and seafood steamboat specialist.

We ordered a few variety of porridges with some salted egg on the side.

Some greens and omelets to balance out the diet (lol). Oh my don't forget the century egg and some youtiao.

Porridge was super good, I like it done this way, starchy with a nice thickness. Congee lah. Side dishes were good. It was a super comfort meal after a heavy night out drinking, proper supper food. Not too heavy and easy to go to bed later.

Suizan @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

Was feeling a bit peckish, so I checked out this restaurant nearby my hotel called Suizan. Yes I know, this trip I think I had more Japanese food than local, lol.

They had this special deal set from 11am to 5 pm, so I opted for the gyu don. Quite a stealer I reckon.
As you can see from the picture below, it's quite a hearty meal. Surprisingly good and worth every penny.

The Gangs Central @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

This place is a mad house, better make your reservations before hand like maybe way in advance. I was lucky as a mate of mine did the booking.

We ordered the normal pub grub food, portions were nice and they have a nice variety of menus.

This place is packed for a reason. People come here just to drink, eat and enjoy the live band shows plus dj sessions. The crowd is just amazing here, people would dance on the chairs and table as well. Good vibes. Definitely a must go if you're in HCM.

Marukame Udon @ Ho Chi Minh CIty, Vietnam.

I walked past by this packed restaurant a few times and I didn't managed to check it out the last time I was here in Vietnam. This trip  I made it a point to eat here.

As usual the place had a queue but the turnover was fast. Menu is simple and they have English translation as well. I ordered the beef udon as usual and with an onsen egg.

Nicely done, udon was perfect, just the way I like it, chewy and springy. Beef was good and portions were generous. Broth was comforting. I slurped down the entire bowl, beautiful!

Sushi Tiger @ Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Remembered bookmarked this place from some time back, came here for some light bites. Place was located in Jtown.

Place was small, good for happy hours and some light bites. I was standing at the bar counter with my drinks and some sushi.

Awesome food, awesome staff. Drinks were decent and best part I went home with a happy tummy. Worth to check it out if you're in Jtown.

Kedai Makan Sakdiah @ Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

Oh yes! A friend brought here for brunch and boy was yummy. Negri food, Padang food or what you call it, masak lemak is the way to go! This place is located a bit far from Seremban town, but if you want the real deal, better be prepared to travel a bit of distance.

The usual array of dishes, kampong style all laid out. Pick and choose what you like.

OMG all the masak lemak dishes are to die for, love the balitong and smoked beef. The gravy is just nice, not too spicy and jelak.

They're quite famous for their beef rendang and lemang too. Delicious. Beautiful mom and pop restaurant worth checking out.

Pondok Sedap Malam Restoran @ Jakarta, Indonesia.

Restaurant was near our hotel, after checking in, a friend brought us here for late lunch.

The sambal is potent but definitely addictive. The open air kitchen was in front of the restaurant. So you can see how they cook, fry or grill your food.

We ordered a steamed fish, grilled squid, blanched cockles and sambal petai prawns.

Something about this restaurant gave me the dejavu. It reminds me of those Chinese seafood joints that you can get in Malaysia or Singapore. I mean taste wise it's actually good. Can be on par or I dare say this restaurant does it better.  Seafood was fresh and portions were good. Aiyakkk, should have ordered a fried rice also. Oh well, next round when I'm here then.

Sate Maranggi Haji Yetty Cabang Bandung @ Bandung, Indonesia.

Just got in to Bandung and we came here for lunch. Sate Maranggi! Ample car parking in front.

We ordered a few soups and white rice. Oxtail was good, broth was flavoursome.

Oh my the sate was shioks, Perfectly marinated, nicely charred, juicy and pair with the sate sauce. Yummy!

Maniam Teh Halia @ KL, Malaysia.

I've been eyeing this place for a few years and finally at long last, I managed to go. It's a simple no frills shop tucked in a small lorong off Jalan Pahang.

There's some small nasi lemak packets and a few kuihs to go with your teh tarik.

The nasi lemak was pretty standard. The star here is the teh tarik halia, good stuff!!! No wonder people are hyped up about this place.
