Banana Leaf Rice @ UMAC, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

What a way to spend the weekend having banana leaf rice for lunch. Friend suggested to try out this new place at the University Malaya Academic Club in Petaling Jaya.

A wide selection of dishes to choose from.

Standard rice plus three veges, ordered a deep fried tenggiri on the side. Plus my personal favourite, I still can't pronounced it right, some yellow dish. Food is definitely good here. An add on bonus, was the view and lush green settings.

Sumi-Ka @ Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

One end of the world, ok I might be exaggerating, traffic was horrendous. Luckily the food here made all the journey worth it. Plus I'm always bias when it comes to yakitori, alcohol and good friends.

Menu was simple and straight forward.

Kudos to the chef who did an awesome job grilling the food.

We ordered the usual suspects.

The must order was the beef tongue, superb!

Definitely a good yakitori joint in this part of town. Actually I will go through traffic again for a meal at this place.

Kedai Makanan Foong Foong @ Ampang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Second round this part of town and I managed to test out this shop for its ytf.

Gets pretty packed in here during lunch hours.

Some fried dumplings.

Mix ytf to share.

Awesome place, the ytf pieces are superb. The fried dumplings was a killer, well any fried stuff is good. Definitely will come back here again.

Nasi Lemak Wanjor @ Kampung Baru, KL, Malaysia.

This place can be packed early in  the morning. Must be a good nasi lemak if there's queue.

Menu and prices listed.

The usual routine, you order a standard nasi lemak packet, then add on your dishes.

Did a takeaway, hence the mess. I topped up with cockles. The sambal is delicious, cockles were a bit tiny though, but a very good packet of nasi lemak.

Rubberduck @ Plaza Damas, KL, Malaysia.

Came here for brunch, twice in a week actually.

First round had the porridge.

Second round forgot what its called but the picture above. Both tasted good but I have to admit, the coffee here is the star. Hence why I came back here twice in a week.

Restoran Rose @ Kampung Baru, KL, Malaysia

Stomach was grumbling for a snack, did a quick stop in Kampung Baru for some satays.

This stall in the restaurant specialises in sate minang. Looks like your average satay except its done quite differently. Basically you order either beef, chicken or stomach, and you'll be given a small plate with 5 sticks of skewered meat on top of rice cakes, drenched in a thick gooey sauce, with crispy shallots on top.

Think I ordered beef and stomach. Still tastes good, and I find the satay sauce extremely addictive. Good stuff.

Restoran Jiang He @ Bukit Bintang, KL, Malaysia.

Fried chicken rice, or chinese style ayam penyet. When I got here, the banner outside was displayed only opens every monday, wednesday and saturday only. Must be good business three biz working days a week. I was informed previously was only two days a week!

Queue was pretty long but it goes by quite fast.

We stick to the basics, fried chicken, some tofu and taugehs.

The fried chicken was to die for, crispy on the outside and moist inside. They do a mean fried chicken here.

Love the tofu and taugehs here, awesome add on to my plate of chicken rice.

Simple comfort food. Definitely a star on my list. Too bad I gotta comply on the opening hours:/
