ICC Pudu @ Pudu, KL, Malaysia.

The new Imbi Market food market has long since been relocated here. I've took my own sweet time to sample some of the dishes here over lunch. Today gonna go over three stalls I've found worth coming back here to.

Don't fret, the chicken rice balls is the same stall as soon wah noodles. The chicken was smooth and delicious.

The pan mee next to the ytf stall, tried both dry and soup (forgot to take pics of the dry one). Both are equally good. Heavenly broth.

Last but not least, hainanese asam laksa. Say what? First time I'm trying a hainanese version of asam laksa. The soup looks plain, but it packs a punch. Quite similar to the Penang version, it's good with a slight difference. Anyway it did fix my asam laksa cravings.

Bari-Uma @ Elite Pavilion, KL, Malaysia.

Another ramen joint worth checking out if you're at Pavilion KL area.

Decided to try their chicken ramen which came with drummets.

Add on seaweed. Set lunch came with gyoza. We ordered some yakitori as well.

Ramen was good, actually the bowl was quite big, filled me up nicely. Would definitely come back here to try their other ramens.

Restoran Sururi @ Jalan Tun Razak, KL, Malaysia.

Came here on a Thursday as that's when they serve their daily specials of mutton soup.

Ordering is simple go the big pot and ask what you want, grab it, get a plate of white rice and choose any other dishes that you want. Go to the cashier and pay.

We went for the mutton soup and just plain rice. The soup was superbly awesome, robust with herbs and spices.

If you're craving for a Malay old school style soup, this is definitely the place to go. Place is hot and packed, but I'll be back for the soups.

Mak's Chee @ Pavilion, KL, Malaysia.

We decided to check out  Mak's wtm branch in KL at Pavilion for lunch.

It's an open kitchen in front where you can see how's the food been done.

The HK milk tea was delicious.

The leg of chicken was good.

Fried wantons.

Wantons in soup and below wtm with prawn roe.

Beef brisket is a must order to share.

Food was good, as it was still new waiting time can be a pain. I'll suggest the must order is the chicken leg, beef brisket and your choice of wantan mee. As usual can't compare to the real deal back in HK, but a worthy effort if your craving for it.

Restoran How Kee Seafood Village @ Simpang Ampat, Penang, Malaysia.

En route to KL, we did a pit stop at Simpang Ampat for lunch. Gotta hand it to my friend for suggesting this place, awesome find.

A must order is the prawns, excellent tasty juicy spicy prawns.

The lala was my personal favourite as I love shellfish.

I think this was Gong Gong, a bit hard to get to the flesh, but worth it. The sauce that came with it pairs the meat lovely.

Ah the fish, the broth/sauce/gravy had a nice zesty spicy feeling to it. Would definitely order it next round when I come here again.

Last but not least, you have to order the mantis prawns. Awesome dish. Ask the lady boss how to peel it, it's quite easy actually. A hidden gem which was worth the find. Plus it's only a short distance from Simpang Ampat toll exit.

Castaway Resort @ Koh Lipe, Thailand.

Woke up with a bad hangover, be careful of the thai whisky coke bucket. Easy to drink but it hits you hard.  Wanted something comfy for breakfast.

Ordered a chicken porridge. Oh my it was so good I had it every morning here. Had a somtam as well, something sweet sourish to perk up the body. A good breakfast cure for hangover, pair it with Singha beer, a delicious breakfast indeed. Now that I feel better, thai whisky bucket again for this evening.

On The Rocks Restaurant @ Serendipity Resort, Koh Lipe, Thailand.

Came here for the views and decided to have lunch here. Had a few drinks to lighten up the mood.

Had a Penang/Panang curry with steamed rice.

I reckon this is one of my better foods I had on the island. Lovely stuff, the curry mix well with the good thai rice. Can't stop slurping on it. Plus the views was awesome. Definitely a chill out place to hang out with your partner.
